Charities can be nominated by any Member.
To nominate a non-profit, Members must be in good standing including:

To be a potential recipient an organization must meet all the following criteria:

Be recognized by the IRS as a 501c3 non-profit organization.
Spend 70% of our contribution for the benefit of the people of Rio Verde, Fountain Hills, Cave Creek, Carefree, Scottsdale and Phoenix. Local chapters of national Non-profit will be considered if 70% of the contribution stays in our communities.
Have the ability to provide tax receipts to each donor.
Be in existence for a minimum of one year.
Agree not to create, sell, or distribute a list with our members’ contact information, and agree not to solicit our members directly for future contributions.
Agree to recognize the TVR Chapter of 100 Women Who Care on social media, collateral, etc.
If possible, the non-profit will attend the meeting to represent the non-profit by delivering a 5-minute casual presentation + Q&A. If this is not possible, the member who nominated will present on their behalf. The chosen non-profit will also be asked to return at our next meeting to briefly speak about how the donations were used.
The following are ineligible for funding: religious groups promoting religious activities, political organizations, organizations operating to support a single individual, organizations with a non-charitable purpose, and organizations which discriminate against individuals on the basis of creed, color, sexual orientation, age, gender, national origin, or veteran status.

In addition:

100+ Women Who Care TVR Members can only nominate one non-profit at a time.
There is no limit on the number of members who can nominate a particular charity but it will only be
officially submitted once.
The non-profit selected to receive the donation can be re-submitted in two (2) years.
Non-profits not selected can be re-submitted at any time.
