Nomination and Voting Process:
- Members nominate local non-profits by completing a Charity Nomination Form
- The member must be in good standing including:
- having a current, signed Membership & Commitment Form
- be current with their donations
- There is no limit on the number of members who can nominate a particular non-profit but it will only be officially submitted once
- Three organizations are then selected at random
- The three selected Non-Profits will then present to the Giving Circle Group at our next meeting
- Give a Little Background
- Name, location and history of the organization
- Mission and overall scope of services, demographics served
- Describe the Need
- Describe the program that you would like funded and provide some background information
- Identify who the funds would impact and how many would be served by the donation
- Will any of the donation be used for administrative fees or salaries
- Be very clear on what the money will “buy” for the community
- Make it Personal
- Tie in your own personal story about why the organization means so much to you
- End with a very heartfelt request
- The Giving Circle Group will vote to select one of the non-profit for that meeting’s donation
- The non-profit selected to receive the donation can be re-submitted in two (2) years
- The non-profits that were not selected can be re-submitted at any time
- All members donate $100 directly to the selected non-profit organization, even if the member is unable to attend the meeting and vote
- Donations can be made by check (made out to the non-profit) or online
